News

24th June 2022

As the end of the school year draws ever closer, it's a busy time in school. The teachers are working hard to squeeze in every last learning opportunity with their classes and the children truly are sponges taking on board everything new that they learn.

Our Friends are eagerly prepping Alv Fest for Friday 8th July, so do ensure you mark the date on your calendars, it's set to be a fabulous event. After the joy of welcoming everyone back for the Jubilee celebration, we can't wait for our first summer fayre since 2019! With that in mind, Friday is a non-uniform day, please bring a bottle forfeit.

Another joy came this week when we welcomed some of our new reception children as they came in for their settling in sessions. Despite some of them being just 3 years old they came in with enthusiasm in their step and it was so lovely to be able to see our school family expanding ready for September.

Over the coming weeks all teachers will start preparing for their new classes with our big transition day on Wednesday 6th July. On this day, children will come in as normal to their current classes, then they will be taken to their new class and new teachers. At the end of the day their new teachers will bring them out to their usual going home area on the playground. This will give you the opportunity to put a face to a name.

Wishing you all a truly fabulous weekend, fingers crossed for sun!

Year 4 Visit Bletchley Park
Year 4 had a wonderful trip to Bletchley Park. We cracked codes, learnt about what life was like at Bletchley Park, admired the Bombe Machine and were even lucky enough to have a go with a working Enigma Machine.

Ordering School Uniform for September

In the last year we have set up two uniform suppliers SummitGB (shop in Stratford) and Brigade (online business based in Coventry) alongside our existing offering.  For more information, please visit our website by clicking here. We have been contacted by Brigade to let us know their last order date is 22nd July for guaranteed delivery before September.  We advise that parents actively source uniform as soon as possible to ensure they have it in time for September start.  Last year nationwide uniform suppliers were hit by unexpected Brexit and coronavirus delays.
