Well done to Tuesday's Year 5 and Year 6 football squad!
Our school football coach, Simon Arnold, led these 11 children to play their first competitive match of the year against Holy Trinity Primary School. For 50 percent of the squad, this was in fact their first ever competitive match!
Although the score line didn't go our way, the team played really well, creating some good opportunities and playing some nice football. The Holy Trinity team were more experienced and just too strong for us this time.
However, our team has so much to be proud of. Not only did every player work their socks off, it was our team who showed the most respect and sportsmanship. There was a lot to be positive about and some areas for us to develop. Well done to Year 5's Sam, Jasmine, Oscar, Isabella and Oliver and Year 6's Charlie, Oli, Jakey, Fin, Ted and Harrison for all your hard work. We are so proud of you all!
Thank you to all the parents who helped transport our children to and from Holy Trinity and for supporting them throughout the match. We really appreciate you helping us to make it possible and for all the cheerleading!
