Year 3 were treated to a wonderful experience at St James' Church this afternoon. Working alongside Organist and Choir Master, Matthew Smallwood and the junior choir lead, Catherine Coton, the children learnt 6 new songs developing a range of skills including singing in rounds and singing Zulu for the song Siyahamba. At the end of the afternoon, the children performed their songs to their families. It was a truly joyous afternoon.
If your child would like to join the Junior Choir at St. James they would be very welcome to attend. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays 5pm-6pm and the children sing in the family service on the first Sunday of each month. It is free and there is a wonderful musical programme for the children to complete too.
