12th December 2025
This week, Year 1 and Year 2 shone brightly as they performed their magical Christmas play, Everyone Loves a Baby. The story follows five children who are unimpressed with the arrival of a new baby at home - he’s noisy, smelly, and turning their world upside down! Their journey to discover why everyone loves a baby leads them to angels, shepherds, kings, and innkeepers, all eager to meet Baby Jesus. What truly made the performance special was the children themselves. Their confidence, enthusiasm and wonderful acting filled the hall with warmth and festive spirit. The children’s clear voices, big smiles and teamwork created a performance that was both heart-warming and memorable. We couldn’t be prouder of how brilliantly they brought the story to life. What a great start to the festive season!
The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) is warning about 8 dangerous gifts that could be a nightmare this Christmas which include cheap copies of popular toys, e-bikes, e-scooters, hoverboards, toys with easy access button batteries, water beads, magnetic toys, baby sleep products, slime and laser pointers. The Recovery and Wellbeing Academy is offering a course designed to support mental health and resilience during the winter months. This course offers a safe, supportive space to explore the emotional challenges many people face during the festive season. It acknowledges that Christmas isn’t always joyful - and can bring feelings of stress, loneliness, grief, or pressure. Explore why this time of year can be so difficult, and learn practical strategies to support our mental health and emotional wellbeing. Learn more about the course here.
