Courageous Advocacy

We encourage our children to be Courageous Advocates whenever they spot an opportunity. This enables our school community to develop a greater awareness of the challenges our world and others in it face in life. We teach the children how they, as individuals, can support causes and make a difference in our school community, local community and across the world. This starts right from Reception, reading stories such as The Snail and the Whale, the children learn that despite being the youngest members of our school, they, like the snail, can have an impact. 
 
Over the years, we have seen some wonderful examples of our children experiencing success from persuading the local chip shop to stop using plastic forks to halting the council pulling down a hedgerow to preserve animal homes over winter.
