Year 6 had a fabulous visit to Forest School this week, developing further their team work skills and persevering to achieve together. One team built a huge tunnel using A-frames. They had to find the right sized poles and they used their knot tying skills to bind them securely together. They loved running through and hiding under the shelter once it was complete. The children likened it to their WW2 learning on air raid shelters. Another team chose to create a legacy for the school by digging up a new wildflower meadow within our Forest School site. This was a huge undertaking but the children worked tirelessly to prepare the soil ready for the seeds to sow. In years to come when we see those flowers, we will think of you, Year 6.
