Science Week...continued!
As part of Science week, and inspired by our traditional story 'The Gingerbread Man', last week Reception conducted a very important investigation - which were the strongest biscuits when dunked in water?! The children made predictions before testing 5 biscuits, all under strict measures for fairness. The water was measured in each cup and the biscuits were held in the water for exactly the same amount of time. The runaway winner was the Chocolate Digestive. Our results show that you can safely dunk your chocolate digestive in a cool drink without worrying about it breaking up. Lots of great ideas and science vocabulary were shared.
Collective Worship
Year 4 led Collective Worship this week. They discussed Salvation and the role that Jesus played in freeing us from sin at Easter time.
Last week, Year 6 hosted their half-termly Collective Worship. This time the theme was Hope. Joey, Paige, Jake, Ruben and Isa created their own PowerPoint and presented to the school. They invited children to consider what hope is and what they are hoping for. Well done!

Come along for a night of bingo and try your luck at the Easter-themed raffle draw – there are some fantastic prizes to be won!

Time: Doors open 6:15pm, “eyes down” 7pm!

Raffle tickets are on sale now - you can drop your raffle money into the F.O.A. box, right outside the school office, and raffle tickets will wing their way to you.

Have a guess on the gate at drop-off and pick-up on the last week of term (Mon-Thurs). The winner wins the amazing jar and all its delicious contents (see the picture below)! The winner will be announced at the BINGO (30th March). 50p per guess!

Connect for Health school nursing service magazine can be found under the "Our Community" section of our website. This edition has a special focus on celebrating Nutrition and Hydration Week between 13th - 19th March, providing websites, resources and interactive worksheets to help improve children’s nutrition and hydration. General Reminders
Music lessons in school
If you are interested in music lessons, please click here. Warwickshire Music have opened their waiting lists for: Piano, Violin, Oboe, Flute, Clarinet, Tenoroon/bassoon, Cello, Viola and Guitar (age restrictions apply to some instruments. Coronavirus within school
If your child tests positive for coronavirus, or has one or more of: temperature, continuous cough, loss of sense of smell or taste, please keep them off school for a minimum of three days or until they are better after three days. Please report all absences to the school office as below.
Sickness and Absence
Please let the school office know each day your child is absent from school by calling 01789 293412 and leaving a message. You may also email parents3002@welearn365.com. You do not need to contact us daily if your child is sick. Absences for sickness will be recorded 48 hours from the end of the day your child was last sick (i.e. if sick on Sunday, come back on Wednesday; if Tuesday come back on Friday) nor for COVID absences.
Medicines in School
We cannot accept medicines in school without a prescription label and a medical form completed by a parent or carer. Please ask the school office for more information and/or a form: parents3002@welearn365.com.

Naming Items in school
