World Book Day 2025
On Thursday, we enjoyed a wonderful World Book Day celebrating reading for pleasure. We each chose a book to listen to and split off around the school. The Famous Five was a popular choice and so was the One Fish, Two Fish Rap!
We watched Alveston's "The Masked Reader" and will find out who each character was on Friday. Some of them are really tricky to guess!
In the afternoon everyone in the whole school got involved in Drop Everything And Read. We all loved reading the books we had brought in from home or the books we had chosen from the library.
Other activities included making bookmarks, drawing our character and joining the World Book day live lesson.
As always, Alveston fully embraced World Book Day 2025 with wonderful costumes or pyjamas. A fun day was had by all and everyone left school with a book token to choose a book from a local bookshop or supermarket.
Happy reading, everyone!
