This week a group of children from Key Stage 2 have been sharing the festive spirit by singing for our older generations in three local care homes. The children sang at Margaret Court, Alveston Leys and Tiddington Court. We know this brings a huge amount of joy to these people in our local community, but we truly get just as much joy. The children this week have been incredible - walking miles, singing their hearts out and behaving impeccably. We could not be prouder. The singing of carols such as Away in a Manger, Silent Night and We Three Kings were so moving, especially when accompanied by the older folk.
Lots of children have already asked if they can sing next year. We have also planned more opportunities to share time at these care homes over the rest of this academic year.
