Towering Sunflowers!
During the summer term, The Friends of Alveston organised a sunflower competition and we recently announced the winners in school.
In third place was Year 2's Grace (173cm), in second place was Elsie's from Year 6 (280cm) and our amazing winner was Max's from Year 3!!! Max's winning sunflower grew to a whopping 340cm! Amazing! Well done Grace, Elsie and Max!
Special mention must also go to Magda (135.5cm) and Annabelle & Cora (105cm). Excellent effort, ladies!
Thank you to everyone who took part and also to the Friends for organising such a wonderful competition for all.
