Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Orchestra’s next family friendly concert is “Heroes and Villains” and is held on Saturday 13th May at 2 pm at the Coventry Central Hall in Coventry.
We are offering free tickets to any young players who wish to attend. They can play any instrument at any level. We are also offering free tickets to up to two parents/carers of the young player. We are keen to grow awareness of our orchestra amongst young players and want to give them a chance to come and listen to us, and hopefully join us one day.
Our last concert, ‘Folk vs Film’, was very successful, with one member of the audience saying: “A superb concert this evening by the CWYO and an outstanding soloist. Congratulations to you all. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.”
The concert promises to be a light and entertaining one, with film tunes from Gladiator, Mission Impossible and Spiderman. The concert will also feature an eclectic mix of solos from some of its older players, including music by Mozart, Beethoven and Funkadelic.
Any parent/carer wishing to book free tickets just needs to email cwyorch@gmail.com with the name of the young player, the instrument they play and the names of up to two parent/carers who will be attending with them, and free tickets will be set aside for them. The flyer also has information on how to book tickets.
With best wishes
