Warwickshire Charity Supports School Coronation Celebrations
Addington Fund, a farming charity based in Barford, has launched a campaign to help schools across Warwickshire brighten up their Coronation celebrations by donating lengths of brightly coloured knitted bunting.
Officially holding the Guinness World Record for the ‘longest knitted bunting line’ at a whopping 14,279m, the bunting was donated by The Devon County Agricultural Association to the charity to help raise funds for their work supporting farmers, farm workers and rural communities.
Since 2021, Addington Fund has been selling smaller packs of the bunting through farm shops and online. In 2022 their sales took off as communities celebrated the Platinum Jubilee, but with plenty of knitted flags to go around, the team wanted to find a way to distribute the bunting further.
Alveston Primary has been the lucky recipient of some of the beautifully hand-crafted, record-breaking bunting and it will be on display during our Coronation celebrations. If anyone would like to purchase some for their own use please see the flyer above for more information. You can also buy packs of bunting from local farm shops: Hilltop Farm, Hunningham or Farmers Fayre, Stoneleigh.
Registered charity number 1097092.
