What a beautiful day for a Harvest Festival!
With the sun shining, we walked to St James' kicking up the leaves all the way!
We were absolutely delighted the four eldest members of our Collective Worship Committee led the entire service and did a such a super job.
Despite the music tech not working for some of the class performances, the children carried on regardless. As some of our wonderful grandparents said '...the children didn't seem the least daunted by the music mishap. True resilience! It showed the school in a really positive light.' Thank you for all your wonderful words Angela and Stuart, you made our week!
With our congregation songs sounding truly joyous, accompanied by Ed, our hearts were literally bursting!
Every class shared their work on Harvest from songs and poems to facts and information about Harvest Around the World. The Collective Worship committee also wrote a beautiful prayer of thanks for the occasion.
Thank you for your contributions to the Stratford Food Bank in celebration of Harvest. This is such an important charity for our community, so please do continue to send your kind donations into school. We will take all donations to the Food Bank on November 8th.
Thank you to the St James' team, the parent volunteers who helped walk our children safely to the church and to everyone who joined us.
