3rd March 2023
Although the weather seemed a little shy, we started this second half term in a blaze of all things spring! The highlight of the week has to be World Book Day. You may have heard about the Masked Reader already – this caused quite a stir! Miss Eddy will put together the highlights for next week’s newsletter.
In addition to all the stories being read around the school, we also shared a story to celebrate St David’s Day, called ‘Doing the Little Things’. Set in a Welsh village on St David’s Day, the story focuses on a little girl called Alice, who learns the meaning of Saint David’s words - ‘Do the little things that you have seen and heard from me’. The Patron Saint of Wales, didn’t slay dragons, but he led the way, showing his followers the importance of doing just small things to make the lives of others better and happier. It was a reminder to us all that doing the little things may not seem like much, but these small acts can make a big difference to the lives of others. Saint David would have been so proud of all our children who demonstrate this understanding each and every day.
Wishing you a restful weekend,
Anne Clewley
