Their efforts not only showcased their physical strength and perseverance but also their compassionate hearts as they raised funds for these important charities. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Beatrice and Georgia for their outstanding achievements and commend them for their commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer.
Thank you to everyone who supported them in this great cause!
Just 5 years ago there was no wrap around care at Alveston at all. With Cygnets full to bursting, and many of our families struggling to find wrap around support, I asked Simon from FiTT4Kids, if he would help us with a sports club. As a result, we were the very first FiTT4Kids before and after school club! I will remain forever grateful to Simon and his team for delivering this valuable service on our behalf, for our families.
We are now delighted to announce an exciting new chapter for Alveston C of E Primary School. Starting from September, we'll be swooping in to take over the wrap-around care.
Alveston Owls will deliver our Breakfast Club from 7:45am to 8:45am. To set them up for the day ahead, children will be served a breakfast from a choice of hot and cold options.
After-School adventures will start from 3:15pm and continue until 6:00pm. The children will be provided with their tea from a weekly menu of simple hot dishes and sandwiches.
Operating in the twilight hours around the school day, Alveston Owls will be led by Alveston C of E Primary's dedicated staff, providing greater continuity with the school.
We will continue to offer activities to suit all our children from the more active to the sedate, engaging activities to quiet time, every moment an opportunity for your child to grow, learn, and thrive. Nestled within the comforting community of Alveston C of E Primary, Alveston Owls offers a safe and secure environment for your child to flourish.
With only 30 places available each morning and evening, spaces are limited, so please do register your interest now for September. We will be in touch with more details soon, including costs and how to book.
Please do not worry, the capacity has always been 30 places and it has not reached capacity yet! If over time we do reach capacity, and demand is high enough, we will of course look to increase its size.
....out of the 7 schools that took part, Alveston placed 2nd! What an amazing result, everyone!
