At Alveston, we value Physical Education. We are Athletes!
A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all children to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. It should provide opportunities for children to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Using subject specific language, the curriculum should also ensure children are aware of the impact of exercise on their health and wellbeing.
Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and team skills. They help to embed values such as fairness and respect. Our children compete in a range of sports and have an excellent track record succeeding in local and county wide events.
We deliver sport often overlooked or simplified in Primary School to ensure we give all our children the opportunity to find a sport or activity they enjoy.
