18th September 2026
Dear Families
It has been wonderful to see all the children so engaged in Opal Play this week! Their imaginations have been running wild, and their enthusiasm has been fantastic. We are so excited for our next big launch this week! After lots of training and preparation over the summer, we are now ready to introduce some more challenging and risky play activities over the coming weeks. We have been working hard to prepare for this and can't wait to see where the children’s curiosity and confidence takes them. Please remember that all children should now have a named pair of wellies and waterproof trousers in school. Waterproof trousers can be dungarees, overalls or trousers — whatever works best for your child. These are essential as we head into wetter weather and make the most of our outdoor play.
On Sunday 4th October from 10.00am, we will be digging out the sandpit of our dreams! This is a big project, and we really do need all the help we can get. If you are available to come along, bring a spade, some enthusiasm and your best digging muscles! If you have contacts in building supplies or know anyone with a small digger please do get in touch with us via the office. If we don't have to spend money on so many resources, more money can be spent on other areas.
Thank you, as always, for supporting us in giving the children these wonderful opportunities for play, exploration and adventure. We can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring!
Have a great weekend and BEST OF LUCK to our team of parents rowing in the Dragon Boat Race on Sunday. We are all behind you!
