News

18th March 2022

As I write the sun is shining brightly, the daffodils are out in full force and the blossom is glorious on our ornamental tree. With so much to bring us joy and to celebrate, these wonderful signs of spring are rounding off a very special week!

Our children take part in a broad range of activities both in and out of school. We are always very proud of all they achieve whether they are the Stars of the Week, have the most improved TT Rockstar scores, run the fastest in our area, win in local competitions or just simply overcome a personal challenge.

Our newsletter this week is full of wonderful achievements and we are delighted to share these with you. Before I disappear to feast on the delicious chocolate cake from the Friends of Alveston bake sale to support the Red Cross Appeal, I would like to wish you all a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the beautiful weather and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday.

COVID Measures at School

Thank you to everyone for supporting the measures we have had in place to keep our community safe, especially continuing to wear face coverings.
From Monday, adults dropping off and picking up their children no longer need to wear their face masks at the gate or outside on the playground.
However, in line with recommendations from Public Health, we are asking all visitors to school to continue to wear masks when inside the school buildings.
Thank you for your continued support.
Parents' Evenings Spring 2022

On Thursday we sent out the Event Information Sheet for our first face to face Parents' Evenings in over two years! Please ensure you keep this safe as it provides important information on how the evening will work. Our booking system went live at 4pm today, please contact the school if you have any problems booking your appointments.

COVID Measures on the evening: All spaces in use will be well ventilated with doors and windows open and ventilation machines in use in the school hall. All parents are asked to wear a face mask when inside any of the school buildings. For those who are exempt, please remember to bring your proof of exemption with you and to social distance as much as possible when inside. We do have members of our community who are vulnerable or extremely vulnerable to the virus. Thank you for your support.
**Stop Press**  Friends of Alveston Bake Sale

The Friends of Alveston Bake Sale in support of the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal has already raised an amazing £345.65 this evening.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported this good cause. We have lots of cakes left over and Stratford Football Club have given us permission to sell them tomorrow at football, so hopefully we can raise a bit more. Well done Team Alveston!
