We were not going to let this pandemic stand in the way of our Harvest Festival!
This afternoon our children enjoyed their whole school Harvest Festival virtually! We shared the Festival with all our parents on Seesaw too.
It was our first whole school attempt at a virtual event and video. The team have done a fantastic job and we have learnt lots of lessons for our next one. So whilst we won’t be holding our breath for our invite to Cannes Film Festival (!), we hope parents enjoyed the production.
Thank you to Mr. Williams for his recording in St James' Church. We were so sad not to be with our community at church but were delighted technology was able to bring us all together.
We have had some fabulous comments from parents too, thank you to everyone for sharing such positive feedback.
"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to anyone that helped organise the Harvest Festival video. What a lot of work went into it and so greatly appreciated. Due to the current situation it would be so easy to feel cut off from school life and you all go to such lengths to keep us updated and make us feel involved.
I felt really emotional watching the Harvest video, it was lovely to see all the different year groups and you got a real sense of the school as a community despite life trying to keep everyone apart." Reception Parent

"Just a small note from a parent who has not ever been able to make a harvest festival in church each year, due to work... a HUGE thank you to each and every person that was involved in putting together that wonderful video. (We) really enjoyed sitting and watching it together, him joining in on some of the songs that he knew, and pointing out all his friends across the year groups, it really was very special, so I would say that even though we are living in a strange time right now, and I’m sure you would have all loved to gather as one up at the church, this is actually a huge success and will reach so many more parents and extended family!"
