Christmas Shoebox Appeal

News

15th October 2021

Every year Alveston participates in the Teams4U efforts to make and send gift filled shoeboxes to those in Eastern Europe less fortunate than ourselves. We would love for as many of our families to join in again this year. You could make your own box, a family box or club together with friends.

The leaflet details what you could include in a shoebox; toys (used are fine as long as they are clean and in good condition), toiletries, warm things (hats, gloves), sweets, stationery. You may like to include a card and a photo of yourself.

You don’t need to spend lots. It could be a good opportunity to sort through toys that are grown out of or no longer played with. You can pick up great things in charity shops and the supermarkets have as great selection of mini party bag toys.

We ask that completed shoeboxes are returned to school, to be gathered in the school foyer, no later than Friday 12th November.

Spare leaflets will be available for your child to collect from outside the school office.

So this half term, grab a shoebox, your jazziest Christmas paper and send a gift of LOVE this Christmas!
