Bikeability
Year 4 had the opportunity to complete their Level 1 Bikeability course last Friday. The aim was to develop our children’s bike handling skills to enable them to make short off-road journeys by bicycle. The children all received a certificate, badge and some tips to continue their cycling journey. Well done Year 4!
Forest School
At Forest School this week, Year 4 developed their rope skills by creating dreamcatchers. They also enjoyed lighting fires and drinking hot chocolate.
Wolf Art
Some children in Year 4 compiled all the information about wolves they have learnt so far. They turned this information into fact files for our display. On one side, you can see their beautiful interpretations of wolves and on the other side, their favourite wolf facts. We cannot wait for them to dry so we can add them to our display.
Year 6 hosted their Spring Collective Worship on the theme of, ‘Let your light shine’. Oscar D, Isabella, Beatrice, Olivia, Sam and Rheya together designed, prepared, rehearsed and delivered their own assembly. They addressed our school mission to SHINE and engaged the audience with riddles! Follow this link for photos. Amazing work, Year 6!

Parking at Drop Off and Pick Up
We are so lucky at Alveston that the Football Club allow all our parents who drive to school to use their car park for drop off and pick up. This makes it safer for all our children. Please continue to use the Football Club car park. Please do not park on Knights Lane or Oak Road for pick up or drops offs. Please also ensure that you do not stop or park within the zig-zag "Keep Clear" markings. This area is marked to keep the flow of traffic resuming and to ensure the safety of all pedestrians.
The car park is safer for pedestrians as well as families loading and unloading into cars. Parents have reported an increase in cars parked on Oak Road and many cars have parked on double yellow lines. Please be considerate to the safety of all. Thank you.
